The governments of Russia and China are actively promoting the expansion of their nonprofit sectors as partners in service delivery and civic participation. But both are also seeking to put limits on nonprofit operations. This seminar will explore current dynamics by addressing the history and evolution of the nonprofit sectors in Russia and China, opportunities and restrictions for US nonprofits seeking to operate there, and government oversight of nonprofits.
