The long term budget impact of pensions, medicaid and debt service on New York City and New York State budgets is examined by a distiguished panel inlcuding:
Diana Fortuna, President, Citizens Budget Commission; Alan Hevesi, Comptroller, State of New York; E.J. McMahon, Director, Empire Center for New York State Policy, Manhattan Institute; and Jeffrey Sommer, Executive Director, New York State Financial Control Board.
The event is moderated by Dall Forsyth, distinguished lecturer at the School of Public Affairs and former budget director for the State of New York. Introductory remarks are made by David Birdsell Dean of the School of Public Affairs and Kathleen Waldron, President of Baruch College.
The event takes place March 30, 2006 at the William and Anita Newman Conference Center.
