Dr. Altman is followed by keynote speaker Diane Ravitch, Professor of Education at New York University, who gives a brief overview of New York City school history and reviews the current reforms and answers a few questions.
A panel discussion follows with Lynne Weikart, Associate Professor at the School of Public Affairs serving as moderator. Panelists include: Robert Hughes, President of New Vision for Public Schools; and New York State Assemblyman Steven Sanders.
