Mary E. Barth, Joan E. Horngren Professor of Accounting at Stanford University and a member of the International Accounting Standards Board delivers the Emanuel Saxe Distinguished Lecture on global financial reporting hosted by the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy, Zicklin School of Business. Professor Barth gives an overview of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), emphasizing that having global accounting standards will improve the functioning of global capital markets by providing better information to investors and other users of financial statements. Professor Barth is introduced by Hugo Nurnberg, professor of Accounting at Baruch.
