The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College presents an evening reception celebrating the work of Congressman Charles B. Rangel. The reception is held in conjunction with the Newman Real Estate Conference Harlem in Our Eyes: Sustaining Cultural Legacy in a Rapidly Changing Neighborhood.

Speakers include: Allon Schoener, cultural historian, author and originator of the 1968 exhibition "Harlem on my Mind" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Howard Dodson, specialist in African American History and chief of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library.
The guest of honor: Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Representative from the 15th Congressional District, Ranking Member of the Committee on Ways and Means, Chairman of the Board of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Dean of the New York State Congressional Delegation speaks about the past, present and future of Harlem.
The event takes place February 23, 2006 at Steven L. Newman Hall.
