This event discusses ethnic and racial diversity at Baruch College, as they relate to immigrant history in New York City and broader trends of globalization and internationalization in higher education.
Stan Altman, President of Baruch College, gives the opening remarks, and Jeffrey Peck, Dean of Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, moderates the event. The keynote speaker is Professor Olufemi Vaughan, the Geoffrey Canada Professor of Africana Studies & History at Bowdoin College. Panelists include: Professors John Brenkman, Kyra Gaunt, and Sandeep Sreekumar, and students Jacqueline Ha and Holdyn Brand. A Q&A session follows.
