Two panelists speak on "Disaster Preparedness, Response, & Recovery": Rear Admiral Marsha Evans, U.S. Navy (Retired), immediate past President & CEO, American Red Cross, and Joseph F. Bruno, Commissioner at the Office of Emergency Management, City of New York.
Rear Admiral Marsha Evans speaks specifically on Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, the three devastating hurricanes in 2005 hurricane season, and the Red Cross's committment to providing mass care, sheltering, medical care and health services to the citizens of the regions. Joseph F. Bruno speaks on emergency management, and specifically, the roles and responsibilities of the Office of Emergency Management, New York City.
