Baruch College's Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity and Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute host the Sustainability Practice Network's first panel discussion of 2011 on "Cities as Accelerators of Sustainable Development". Expert panelists parse out the factors that make cities and urban livelihoods sustainable and reflect on the short-term and long-term changes required to mainstream sustainable practices and policies, and discuss how cities can accelerate local and global sustainable development, resilience, and prosperity while adapting to the challenges of climate change, resource scarcity, and globalization.
Donald H. Schepers, Director of the Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity, makes the opening remarks. Jack S. Nyman, Director of the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute, moderates the discussion.
