"The Baruch community welcomes the freshman class of 2015 at the Convocation ceremony.
The event is introduced by James McCarthy, Provost and vice President for Academic Affairs. The convocation features greetings from President Mitchel Wallerstein, remarks by Antonio Alfonso, President of Undergraduate Student Government, as well as a keynote address by author/journalist Joel Whitney who discusses Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, this year’s common freshman reading.
Ben Corpus, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and Dean of Students formally inducts the students into matriculated status.
Teresa Parker, Director of Baruch College Chorus, instructs the students to sing Baruch's Alma Mater.
The event takes place on August 25, 2011, at Mason Hall, 17 Lexington Avenue."
