Baruch College Commencement (2007): Morning Session

Baruch College President Kathleen Waldron presides over the 42nd Commencement of the College (morning session) held at Madison Square Garden on May 30, 2007.

Teresa Parker, Director of Baruch College Chorus, sings The Star Spangled Banner.

CUNY Trustee Wellington Z. Chen greets the Class of 2007 on behalf of the CUNY Board of Trustees.

Dr. Selma Botman, Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost, speaks to attendees of the Commencement ceremony.

The valedictory address is given by Matthew Furleiter, BBA.

Rossana Rosado, Publisher and CEO of El Diario/La Prensa, receives an honorary degree of Doctor of Human Letters. Ms. Rosado delivers the Commencement address, introduced by Myrna Chase, Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences.

President Waldron presents the awards of Presidential Excellence and recognizes students who receive prizes, medals and honors.

Bernard Banks, President of the Undergraduate Student Government, presents the Class of 2007 gift to Baruch College.

President Waldron confers degrees on graduating students in the Class of 2007.
