This event was moderated by Mona Jha, Chief Diversity Officer of Baruch
College. The 2019 Women’s History Month highlighted ACLU attorney Gillian
Thomas for a discussion of her book, Because
of Sex: One Law, Ten Cases, and Fifty Years That Changed American Women’s Lives
at Work, which chronicles the Supreme Court’s landmark sex discrimination
cases, and of what that history can teach us about the fight to achieve gender
justice on the job. The topic for the day’s presentation is entitled “Sex Discrimination at Work: Then and Now.”
