"The Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management of the School of Public Affairs presents the seminar ""Do Good Work!"": How to Land a Great Nonprofit Job.
Shelly Cryer, Nonprofit Consultant and author of The Nonprofit Career Guide: How To Land a Job That Makes a Difference (Fieldstone Alliance, 2008), makes a presentation at the beginning. She provides a snapshot of the nonprofit sector in 2009 and employment opportunities in it, discusses the “big trends” that might affect the nonprofit job seeker, and other key issues. Ms. Cryer then moderates the panel discussion. Panelists include Fred Fields, Senior Director, Strengthening NYC Nonprofits, United Way of New York City; Virginia P. Louloudes (Ginny), Executive Director, A.R.T./New York; Joyce M. Roché, CEO & President, Girls Incorporated; and Trish Tschume, Director of Civic Engagement, The Building Movement Project.
The event is co-sponsored by Baruch College, American Humanics, Starr Career Development Center, and Public Affairs Society at Baruch College. Stan Altman, Professor at the School of Public Affairs, makes the opening remarks.
